What can I do if someone is engaging in harassing or abusive behavior?

Periscope is intended to be an open platform for interacting with a broad audience, and keeping its environment safe and healthy for the community is our top priority.

If you encounter someone using abusive or offensive language in a broadcast, we encourage you to use our comment moderation feature to report the comment. You can learn more about it here. You can also block users whose content or comments you no longer want to see. 

We also do not allow broadcasters who are using our platform to harasses or intimidate other users. Examples of this type of behavior include: 
  • Impersonation
  • Specific violent threats involving physical safety
  • Exposure of private information or photo without consent
  • Posting Spam 
  • Creating multiple accounts in order to evade a temporary or permanent suspension
  • Inciting others to harass another user

What happens when I report something? 
Reports sent to our team in-app or through our help center are reviewed by our team, real people, not robots. We’ll take a look a the report, review the content you’re reporting and make a decision about the content or account. Please note that we may not share the result of the investigation with you or comment on actions taken on individual accounts.
