How do I report sensitive content?
Making Periscope a safe place for our community is a top priority for our team. We are working hard to prevent sensitive content from appearing on the platform. You can learn more about how we define sensitive content on our Periscope Community Guidelines.
If you come across sensitive content on Periscope, we encourage you to report the broadcast directly through the app. When watching a broadcast on iOS or Android, select the three dot symbol next to the comment field (Say something...) and tap the 'Report Broadcast' button.
Once you have selected this, you will be prompted to select a reason for the report. The reasons you can select are ‘Self-Harm,’ ‘Violence,’ ‘Sexual Content,’ and ‘Child Safety.’ Once you’ve selected a reason, you’ll be prompted to confirm your report by selecting ‘Report Broadcast’ in a pop-up modal.
On web, you can report a broadcast by selecting the 'i' icon next to the comment field to reveal the broadcast title and then clicking the exclamation point icon next to the title. This will instantaneously alert our team of the sensitive content.
If you see a user posting abusive or offensive comments in a broadcast you can select the comment and tap 'Report Comment'. Once you have selected this, you will be prompted to select a reason for the report. The reasons you can select are 'Abuse,' 'Spam,' ‘Sexually Inappropriate,’ or 'Other Reason'. On web, you can report a comment by selecting it and clicking the red exclamation mark icon. You can find more information about how comment moderation works here.
